Immersion with Chris/Amy

In week 10 term 3, I am doing Immersion with Chris and Amy. On the first session, we went to the Catalina playground. We had to write down what we would like in a senior playground. After we had written that we went back to class. In the second session we talked about what we would do if we were building a playground, we then did a survey and got the answers. After that we had to make it into a pie chart. At first I did not understand it but then I did after I asked Chris. During the third session we had to finish our pie charts. Then we had a look at some creative building. Then we started building a playground on tinkercad or drawing a playground. Then we talked about feedback and then we gave some feedback. Overall, I am not going to do this as a project.

Drama Immersion with Sarah and Jess

On term 3 week 9 I did drama with Jess and Sarah. One the first session we did some games. I can only remember one, which was where we had to do something and someone would come on and do the same thing you were doing. Then someone would com on and they would say what are you were doing. You would lie and say something you are not doing. Then you would walk off and the person has to what you said you were doing and so on. The things people came up with were quite imaginative. On the second session we did dance and moved our body into shapes and a few other things. On the third session we just did some fun games where you have to make someone smile or laugh or smirk. It was so fun to watch people trying to make you laugh, or listening to their funny jokes.

Immersion with Nicole/Helen

In week 9 I did Immersion with Nicole and Helen. What we did was history. I missed the first session so I did not know anything that we did then. On the second session I learned how to read tile maps and another type of map. It was actually really simple. Then on the third session we rated history things from most important to least important. Then we played a game that was made last year that I helped make. Overall, I don't think I will do this, but this might be my second choice.

Bruce Mason theater trip 2017

In term 3 week 9 19th of September we went to the Bruce Mason theater. When we got there we were introduced to the staff and then we went inside the room where they showed us some stuff they have done. They took us to see a short play by our class mates. After about three minutes they stopped. Then it was our turns. They put us into 3 groups of actors, lighting and backstage manager. I chose actor. I was put into a group where I acted as an animal. We got masks and then we acted as animals on stage. It was really the most fun thing I have done. After that we had mourning tea. Then we went upstairs to this interactive performance. We had to tell the guard no every time she tried to eat the cookie. But lots of us said yes for her to eat the cookie. Then we had a chat about what sounds we heard. Then we did this interactive thing where we had to follow instructions being given to us from a phone. Then we had lunch. We then went and watched a small dance and then we did some follow the leader. Then a did a circuit. Then we left on the bus after saying thank you.

Immersion with Liv

In term 3 week 8, group 6 and I were working with Liv in Immersion. What we were doing was seeing what posters and signs up around the school. On the first day we went up to the high school to take some photos of their poster and signs. Then we came back and that was the end of the first day of immersion with Liv. On the second day we looked at some pictures and put down what we saw and what we thought it meant. Then on the third day we were going to do photo shopping but it did not work for everybody. (Worked for me). Instead we did some looking around our school for places where we could add posters and signs. What I liked was going to the high school and taking pictures. What I did not enjoy was everything else and how we did not be able to learn photo shop. What I found challenging was taking good photos. I would probably do this as my third choice.

Playground Immersion

In term 3 week 7, 2017. We were doing immersion. I was doing it on a playground design. Here is what I did. I have added a bit of free advertising for the book I am writing and going to publish. I have added a maze and 2 houses for the playground. (I think the maze is quite cool). I don't think I am going to do this for project because I did not really enjoy it.

Creative writing reflection

In 2017, I have been writing a fantasy story called Into the fire. It is a joint series with Aart and Liam P. I have been enjoying it and I am page 50 on my story. I have also released a preview which is here

2017 term 3 week 6

In 2017 term 3 week 6,we had to do 3 literacy workshops and math workshops, 6 in total. So far I have done some good ones and 1 bad one because I already new how to do it. It was about prefixes and suffixes. I also did a workshop about dividing numbers into another and a few others. Overall, I would give my week a 8/10.
