Explanation reflection

In term 2 week 8 the whole class did explanation writing for our report. I did one on KawaKawa which is a herb from New Zealand. My challenge was getting it to look perfect and getting it done on time. When I did it, I added in what the Maori used for. I am pretty sure I did it well. What I learnt was what KawaKawa was and that I should always do something like this before anything else.

reflection on measurement

In term 2 week 8 I did volume in maths buddy. It was to practice volume. One of my challenges was doing Capacity. The reason why was because I was estimating about things that happen at home. Eventually, after 5 attempts I managed to pass. I do not have any evidence of it because I did not take any screenshots at the time. Overall, I managed to get through all of them except 2. I learnt about how many liters and ml are in everyday objects.

Proportions and ratios reflection

In term 1, we were doing proportions and ratios. Our purpose was to to learn how to do proportions and ratios. First of all, we did improper fractions for the proportions. At first I struggled until I learnt how to work them out. After that I had the sussed. We then moved on the equivalent ratios and they were a bit harder because from past experiences with ratios I was not very good with them. It took me a while longer until I worked out how to do them. In the end, I was able to do proportions and ratios. Here is some proof of me doing ratios.

Persuasive writing refelction

In term 2, 2017, we were writing a persuasive piece of writing. The purpose was too show what we can do in writing. I was doing on why we should have a class radio. It took me quite a while, because I would write it, then change it and then edit. I put in the price, what it would do for us and how it could keep us safe.  thought that my writing was perfect and was going to get top marks. But when I went to show it, I was told that was okay but I could not do rhetorical questions and it didn't have very interesting words. I was told it was polite, and one of my jokes made the teacher laugh. What I learnt is that a rhetorical question is hard to get right and I need to think about what other people think of the writing and wether they find it interesting. I also need to not just about what I think.

Project reflection

In term 1-2 we were going to make a tuck shop. Our goal was to create a healthy tuck shop by the time projects were over. What I learned was that there is a lot of sugar in fast food. I had to learn about and do safe handling of food. If you are sick, do not work with food, Clean — Wash hands and surfaces often just to name a few of the safe handling of food rules. The main challenge was getting everybody to work together and not be silly. I also had to get some recipes for the tuck shop. I didn't get alot since the countdown website was playing up. We then worked on a form to send out to the school. All of the classes answered except one which everyone did not answer. Lucas, Cohen and I then did about how the tuck shop layout would be. Overall, the celebrations were being able to create a tuck shop (we didn't actually) and completing the project.

Project writing script

All the way through term 4, a group of script writers and I have been working on the script and story. Right know we are just about done and...
